Setting up and installing LogMeIn

Because the repair will be done remotely, this guide will show you how to install the program I will be using to make the tuneups and computer protection installations.

First navigate to LogMeIn


In the top right corner, under the login box, click Create an Account

You will be brought to a window that looks like this


Under the Personal Remote Access title, Click on Sign Up (on the same line as LogMeIn free)

Next a page like this should appear.


Fill it out with your information, below is an example.


After clicking Next, you will be taken to this page. Select Add New Computer.


At this page, select Free (as shown below).


You will then be promoted with an install screen like the one shown below.


Depending on your internet speed, this window should appear and the log me in install box should appear.


Once the download has completed, this box will appear.


Click Next

Click I Agree


Choose Typical Install and click next.


In this box you may type whatever you wish.


In this next box, please choose a password at least 8 characters log. Write this code down because it will be needed to access your computer for the job.


In this window enter the same e-mail and password you used when you created your LogMeIn account.


This window allows you choose where to install LogMeIn. If you are unsure what to do, leave it as is and click Next.


The program will now install itself on your computer.


Once finished this window will appear. Click Finished.


Congratulations! LogMeIn is now installed.
